By the time you are ready for the work in this article, you will have reviewed and completed the steps in Preparing and Setting Up Your Stores.

In this article you will learn everything there is to know about the Products tab in your Store Setup. We'll take you through the steps from assigning source products available in your inventory to customizing product details so you'll be ready to profit from your LIVE menu. Additionally, we'll cover store management, Products tab definitions, and Buyer Access.

Jump To:

Introduction to the Products Tab

1. Navigate to your Store Setup by going to the Admin drop-down menu and clicking Store Setup.

2. Once on the Store Setup page, ensure that you have the correct store chosen to modify, then click on the Products tab.

3. In the products tab you will see the Products from your Product Catalog that were previously created via Admin > Products. Here are some tips for navigating through the Products tab and locating the products you'd like to include on your LIVE menu:

A. Use these drop-downs to filter by Category, Type, Product Name, Strain, or Brand.

B. Type keywords into the search bar to help narrow down your search.

C. Select All, Bulk, or Packaged to view a list of all products that fall into each category.

  • Note: If you have Show Status Filter enabled in your store, you will also have the option to filter by statuses All, Available, Backorder, or No Status.

D. You can click the Hide Unavailable button to show only products that have a net positive quantity available.

E. The Products highlighted in green are bulk products.

F. The Products highlighted in white are packaged products for retail-ready consumption.

G. Click Print/Share to export your menu to share with your buyers.

  • Note: At any time, click on a column header to sort by individual columns.

4. Once you have located the desired group of products you want on your menu, you'll want to confirm the available quantities are correctly populated from previously moving your inventory into sellable rooms as well as source any pre-packaged products with bulk inventory in your sellable rooms.

About Your Menu's Available Quantities

The available quantity your buyer sees for any one product is determined by the following:

  • Quantity of units that can be converted from a Source product that is in stock and in a sellable room. Source products can only be set on packaged (retail) products. PLUS,

  • Available quantity in stock with the same product assigned to it and in a sellable room. PLUS,

  • Any Oversell quantity you set on that product

Sourcing Products

Pre-packaged and Bulk Products

Assign Source Products to Packaged Products:
Only Packaged Products can have Source Products assigned.

A. Sourced Available: In the image above you can see that these pre-roll products have zero units available for your store menu because the Sourced Avl. column shows "0". But you might have bulk flower available to convert into those pre-rolls. No worries, you don't have to pre-package! You can assign a source to the product and GrowFlow will show what's available based on packing after the order is placed.

B. Assign Source: Clicking Assign Source will assign a bulk source product to multiple packaged products in one swift motion so that the bulk grams will contribute to the available quantity of those product units.

  • Click on the drop-down for each line item to select the bulk source product. You can individually assign by clicking Assign on each line or assign all by clicking the checkbox on the top row followed by the top Assign button.

  • Note: The options found in the Sourceable Products drop-down will only show available bulk parent options of the same strain that have been previously moved to a sellable room.

  • Note: It's okay for untested Source Products to contribute to the available quantity! As long as that product is in a sellable room, the grams will be included in the calculation of available units and that gives you time to get the results back while accumulating orders.

C. Customize: To assign a source for an individual packaged product, click on the edit icon in the Customize column. Once you are in the Customize Product Details window, select the Source Product and click the blue Save button.

Now that we've selected and saved our Source Products, we can revisit the Sourced Avl. column to confirm the available quantities assigned!

Pre-packaged and Bulk Products

Bulk inventory, as well as pre-packaged inventory, will automatically show the remaining in-stock quantity in the Available column if those items are in a sellable room. This means you can skip assigning a source product if you are satisfied with the quantity shown in the Available column.

  • Note: Bulk products are only intended for sale to stores that are selling to wholesalers.

Customize Store Products and Set Oversell Quantity

There are some pretty cool details you can add to your products to help drive sales. To customize your products, let's revisit the blue edit icon, next to your line items, in the Customize column.

In the Customize Product Details window, you can:

A. As we mentioned before, you can select your Source Product here if you have not yet done so for a packaged product.

B. Oversell Quantity allows you to set a backorder limit beyond your available quantity. The amount entered in this field will be the number of units that can be sold past your available quantity.

  • Example: You have 100 1g units in stock and another 100 1g units available from a converted source product but you set the oversell quantity to "50" because you know you'll have more material on hand soon. Your store now displays an available quantity of 250 1g units.

  • Note: Oversell Quantities can also be set as a negative number.

    • Example: You have 100 1g units total available from in-stock inventory but you might run short on materials. You set the oversell quantity to "-20" to be safe. Your store now displays an available quantity of 80 1g units.

  • Note: Oversell Quantities can be confirmed for each product in the "Oversell" column on the main Products tab of your Store Setup.

C. Upload Product Images to jazz up your menu for buyers!

D. Include In Store has the same functionality as clicking the Public checkbox in the main Products tab of your Store Setup. Selecting Yes sets it to Public; selecting No leaves the product off the menu.

E. Embed a Product video. Enter the link to your video. For now, only YouTube videos are supported.

F. Add an enticing Product Description! We recommend 150 words or less.

G. Don't forget to Save!

  • Pro-Tip! Back on the main Products tab, customize multiple products in one bulk move by selecting the desired products and clicking Edit.

Show Total Cannabinoids and Terpenes

On the Products tab, GrowFlow defaults to show the THC and CBD percentages on the menu. You can also select the boxes in the column headers to have your menu show the Total Cannabinoids and Total Terpenes if you have entered those values in the QA Results window for your tested inventory.

Public: Start Selling From Your LIVE Menu!

Congratulations! With your products now set up to reflect available quantities, you're ready to start selling! To set your menu to LIVE, check the box for each product you would like visible to your buyers in the Public column.

  • Note: If your store is for retailers/dispensaries, only set pre-packaged products as Public.

Your products are now live and looking good! Click Go To Live Store to double-check your work!

Buyer Access

With your products now sourced and customized, your menu is LIVE and you're ready to take on more buyers! Click on the Buyer Access button to invite buyers and approve pending requests for access to your store.

  • Check out Granting Access to Buyers to learn more.

  • Note: Remember to List your store in your Store Setup > Settings to ensure that your store will be viewable to buyers that are browsing and looking to request access to Locked stores in the GrowFlow LIVE Marketplace.

Store Management

An Overview of the Products Tab

Now that you're raking in the orders, it's time to get familiar with managing your Store Products! Below you'll find a one-stop-shop providing the details and definitions you'll need to navigate and maintain your store inventory.

  • Note: At any time, click on a column header to sort by individual columns.

A. Inventory: Click on the + button to see the in-stock inventory IDs that contribute to the available quantity, the Date Created, QA Information, and Remaining QTY.

  • Note: Click on the ID to show the Inventory Details for a listed item. See the image below.

    • Remaining QTY on the inventory item is the total quantity of that inventory item remaining. This does not take into consideration products that have been reserved. Refer to the "Available" amounts on the product line to see the actual availability of your products.

    • Reserved QTY on the inventory item shows the reserved orders that have been created. For LIVE order requests, this is after the inventory has been selected in the Order Request.

B. Image: This column shows a thumbnail of the product image that was uploaded when Customizing the product via the "Customize" column. Check out Getting the Best Quality Photos for more information!

C. Columns of Product Details: These columns display the product's Brand, Category and Type, Product Name, Strain, Size, and Price.

  • Note: Click on the Product Name in the Store Setup > Products tab to open the product details. These details are set on the product during the Product Creation. Then click View on Admin if you want to edit your product details.

D. Show Total Cannabinoids and Terpenes: These columns display the QA information for the in-stock inventory contributing to the available quantity of your store products. You can select or deselect the checkboxes depending on your preference to show or hide the QA results visibly in your store.

  • Note: For products that are sourced from multiple lots, your store will show the QA range to reflect multiple QA results.

  • ToolTip: You can hover over the THC and CBD column header to see the industry-standard formula used to calculate each total.

E. Available: This column shows the quantity in stock of that product in a sellable room.

F. Oversell: This column shows the oversell limit for each product, edited when customizing the product. GrowFlow will include this amount in the total available quantity to allow back ordering of products.

G. Sourced Product: This column shows the product name of the bulk parent product chosen to source your packaged products. The function of a Source Product is to skip pre-converting your inventory into finished products before accepting orders!

H. Sourced Avl: This column shows the available total in all bulk inventory that has the Source Product assigned and is in a sellable room.

  • Note: This column shows quantities in grams, not units.

I. Sample: This column shows if the product is designated as a sample for states that allow samples.

J. Customize: Click on the edit icon in this column to open the Customize Product Details. Refer back to Customize Store Products to learn what you can do!

K. Public: Checking the box in this column will display the product available for sale in your store. This is a great feature if you want to only have certain brands shown in a particular store or are temporarily taking down a product.

L. Select Row: Check the box(es) in this column for individual or bulk modifications to the way products are listed in your store.
