Here's how to close a harvest, change its strain or drying room, or undo a harvest entirely — plus what to do if none of those quite match your situation.
Before you start
You'll need a Grow access to open the Package Harvest Batch window.
Two fields get confused often: Harvest State (Open or Closed) controls whether the harvest still shows in your workflow. Harvest Stage (Wet, Curing, or Finished) tracks where it is in processing. There is no field called "Harvest Status" — if you see that term anywhere, it means Harvest State.
If your account is connected to Metrc, the Undo Harvest option below is disabled — Metrc doesn't support it through their API. See Metrc: Undo the Harvest of Plants instead.
Close Harvest
If a harvest is complete but was not closed at the last cure, we can manually close the harvest to clear it from the Grow Overview page.
1. Click on the harvest under the Drying column:
2. In the Package Harvest Batch window, click the More dropdown in the upper left:
3. Click the Edit button below the harvest details:
4. Change the Harvest State to Closed and Harvest Stage to Finished, then click Save:
Once saved, the harvest is closed and disappears from the Grow Overview page. If you need it back, see Wholesale: Re-Open a Closed Harvest.
Edit Harvest Room or Strain
1. To move a harvest into a different room or change its strain, click the More dropdown on the left.

3. Use the dropdown menus to edit your harvest details:
a) Strain — changes the harvest's strain name.
b) Room Name — changes the drying room the harvest is stored in.
c) Harvest State — re-open the harvest if there's more bulk inventory to create, or close it once you're done entering weights.
d) Harvest Stage — set to Finished, Wet, or Curing.
Tip! To re-open a closed harvest batch, set the Harvest Stage to Wet and the Harvest Status to Open.
Once you click Save, the updated room, strain, or status is reflected immediately in the Package Harvest Batch window and on the Grow Overview page.
Data integrity note: If inventory has already been created from this harvest under the old strain name, changing the strain here does not retroactively update that existing inventory. Any packages made before the change keep the original strain on record.
Undo Harvest
Do you think you made a mistake? Here's what to do:
If you entered the wrong wet weight, you may be able to fix it, but only if:
The harvest is open: If the harvest is already closed, you can re-open it following these steps.
You haven't created inventory yet: No inventory has been generated from this harvest.
If your account is connected to Metrc, this option isn't available to you — see Metrc: Undo the Harvest of Plants for the correction process instead.
To correct the weight:
Select the harvest from the Grow Overview Drying or Harvest column (depending on your jurisdiction).
Click the orange Undo Harvest icon in the upper right of the Package Harvest Batch window. This reverts the associated plants back to Flowering so you can re-enter the information.
3. Re-harvest with the correct weights — carefully enter the correct wet weight for each plant.
Once you re-harvest, the corrected batch replaces the undone one and follows the normal harvest workflow from there.
What Can Go Wrong
I don't see an Undo Harvest button, or it's grayed out. Metrc-connected accounts can't use this feature — Metrc's API doesn't support it. Go to Metrc: Undo the Harvest of Plants to discontinue the harvest on the Metrc side instead, then sync.
I looked for a field called "Harvest Status" and couldn't find it. That's Harvest State (Open/Closed) — a naming slip in earlier versions of this article. Harvest Stage (Wet/Curing/Finished) is a separate field.
I reopened a closed harvest, but it's not back in the Drying column. This depends on your jurisdiction. On the standard workflow, a reopened harvest returns to Drying on the Grow Overview. On WA Standalone, a reopened Harvest Batch stays under Inventory > Batches — click its ID# there to keep working on it until it's closed again.
I can't undo my harvest. Undo only works while the harvest is still open and before any inventory or waste has been recorded against it. If inventory already exists, use Wholesale: Adjust Inventory to correct a package instead of undoing the whole harvest.
I changed the strain, but older packages still show the old one. That's expected — the strain change only applies going forward. Inventory already created under the previous strain name keeps that name on its record.
