When Time Clock is enabled in both Store Settings and the user profile, the report tracks employee work hours by recording when staff clock in and out of shifts. It helps store managers monitor attendance, calculate total hours worked, and maintain accurate payroll records. Note that Time Clock must first be enabled in Store Settings before it can be enabled for individual users.
For instructions on enabling the Time Clock feature, see the Store Settings Overview and Users and Custom Permissions.
User Time Cards
Users can easily check their own time cards by opening the Account Settings drop‑down. You can do this by clicking your initials in the top‑right corner and selecting My Time Cards.
The My Time Card page displays the user’s name along with the total amount of time worked for the selected date range. It also shows the exact dates and times of each time punch, as well as the total time calculated from clock‑in to clock‑out.
Time Clock Reports
If you have Org Admin or Admin permissions, or if you are a user with custom permissions that grant full access to Reports, you can view all time cards for every user. These reports allow you to track exactly when users clocked in and out for today, yesterday, or for a custom date range. To access this report, go to the Reports tab and click Time Clock.
What to do if your employee forgets to clock in
The first step is to have the employee clock in and then clock out. This action creates a time card entry that can be edited. Once this entry exists, you can proceed with the steps outlined below.
1. Go to Reports.
2. Click Time Clock.
3. Locate the user’s Time Clock report. If the report does not appear, adjust the date range by selecting the Yesterday filter or setting a Custom Date Range for the day the user clocked in. This ensures the report is visible.
4. You can also filter the report by Users.
5. Click the user's Name. A box will appear on the right that has the title Time Clock Details.
6. Click the kebab menu or three dots icon in the top right corner.
7. Click Edit.
8. You can then enter the Correct Date and Time worked for the shift.
9. Click Save & Close once you are done.
Please note that only Org Admins and Admins have permission to edit time clock details.
