This article references the new Washington State QA Testing Rules effective April 2nd, 2022. For a detailed explanation of these rules, please take a look at our Help Article WA Standalone: QA Testing Rules.

Expired Results

You can indicate on your QA results that a test has expired. Since it's more likely that your inventory passed pesticide testing and you'll sell it within 12 months of the COA's issuance, you would only need to click an extra box in Growflow if the QA result does not include passing pesticide testing or is beyond the 12 months for selling to a retailer. This tool can also be used for any other reason you'd like to indicate that an inventory item's lab testing has expired.

1. Click on the green Pass button to open the QA Results

  • Note: This button may be red, yellow, or green, depending on whether the status is Pending, Pass, or Fail.

2. Check the Expired box if it does not have passing pesticide results, or if you want to indicate it is older than 12 months for retail transfers

3. Click Save QA Results

4. Once the box is checked, the Expired status will be shown wherever the results are displayed in your GrowFlow account

  • Note: This is a manual checkbox. It is up to you to check or uncheck this box for each of your existing results if you choose to use this feature. Marking the Expired checkbox will not alter the Pass/Fail status. This tool in GrowFlow is only intended for internal informational purposes, to recall whether a QA Result or inventory item is compliant. This information is not passed to CCRS.

Print QA

If the QA Sample has not been marked as Expired, you can opt to include the pesticide testing status or other information with the printed QA information, in addition to the COAs, when sending out orders. This provides an at-a-glance status for buyers.

1. Within the order, click Print/Share > Print QA

2. In the Print QA window, select the applicable option, described below:

  • A. Do not print anything: No additional text will print

  • B. Pesticide Testing Included: Prints this text for any QA Samples that are not marked as expired

  • C. Other: Enter a customized message to display for non-expired results

3. Click Print

  • Note: The selected option will appear under the Additional Details column on the QA PDF file, but only for non-expired results. In the example below, "Pesticide Testing" was selected but as you can see, the third QA Result has been marked as expired, therefore, "Pesticide Testing" is not applied.

Email QA Certificates

If the QA Sample has not been marked as Expired, opt to also attach the QA summary with pesticide testing comments or other text when you choose Email QA Certs from your orders.

  • Note: Only the certificates will show the full panel of individual pesticide test results.

1. Within the order, click Print/Share > Email QA Certs

2. Towards the bottom of the email form, select the applicable option, described below:

  • A. Do not print anything: No additional text will print

  • B. Pesticide Testing Included: Prints this text for any QA Samples that are not marked as expired

  • C. Other: Enter a customized message into the text field to display for non-expired results

3. Click Email when you are ready to send the email

  • Note: If emailing Invoice, Manifest, or Pull Sheet is selected from Print/Share, you will also have the opportunity to attach the QA Results, with the same options available.

    • To email the COA PDF files you much separately select Email QA Certs
