Setting up a BOGO Discount
Click Settings on the left of your screen.
Click on Discounts.
Click the Green + button to create a new discount.
Enter a name for the discount you are creating.
For the Discount Type, open the dropdown menu and select BOGO.
Now you will set up the BOGO discount as it pertains to the deal you are creating. In the example below, the BOGO is set as: Buy 3 Joints Get 1 Joint for a Penny.
In the first line, you are going to set how many items need to be purchased to trigger the discount (Buy X amount). You will also select a product constraint, such as Brand, Product Category, etc.
In the second line, you are going to set what the value add will be for the deal. Get a hat, joint, cartridge, etc (Get Y). You will again set a product constraint.
In the third line, you are going to set how much the item will be discounted or sold for (For Z). You will have the option to make the discount a fixed $ amount (for $0.01), a percentage off (50% off), or a dollar amount off ($5.00 off).
PLEASE NOTE: BOGO discounts will not stack with Entire Order discounts. You can still apply item-based discounts to products added to an order after the BOGO deal, but you will not be able to use Entire Order discounts on top of a BOGO discount.
Once the BOGO inputs have been filled in, you can choose to turn on Auto Apply Discount or Require Admin Pin depending on how you would like the discount to work at the register.
You will still be able to add the normal discount rules if you would like to add any additional constraints to the BOGO, such as only on Fridays, Happy Hour, etc.
Select a color swatch for the Discount button.
Save and Close once you have completed your BOGO discount.
How to Apply a BOGO Discount to an Order
Add the products that qualify for the BOGO discount to the order. You will need to add all the items before applying the discount. In this case, where the deal is Buy 3 Get 1 for a Penny, we will add 4 qualifying products before adding the discount.
Once the products have been added to the order, click the Discount button on the bottom left of your screen.
3. Select the BOGO discount to apply it to the order.
