Gain Loyalty Points for Compliant Bag Use in New York
This feature allows your New York stores to reward customers enrolled in your loyalty program for bringing their own reusable bags. Here's how to turn it on and use it:
Requirements:
Your store must be located in New York state.
The loyalty program must be enabled in your store settings.
Enabling the Feature:
Go to Store Settings.
If you meet the requirements, you'll see a new toggle labeled "Gain Loyalty Points for Compliant Bag Use."
Turn the toggle ON.
Using the Feature:
Once enabled, a modal will appear at the point of sale (POS) during checkout.
When a customer checks out, the POS modal will ask: "Does the customer have a compliant reusable bag?"
Select "Yes" if the customer has a reusable bag purchased from your store. This will award them loyalty points for their order.
Select "No" if the customer does not have a compliant bag. This will prevent loyalty points from being awarded for the order.
Tracking and Managing:
A "compliant bag" value will be saved to the order data to help you track usage.
You can view and sort orders by the "compliant bag" value in the order list.
Returns:
If a customer returns an order where they earned loyalty points for using a compliant bag, those points will be refunded.
Only the loyalty points earned from the specific order being returned will be removed from the customer's account.
By utilizing this feature, you can encourage customers to use reusable bags, reduce waste, and reward their loyalty!
