Metrc: How to Sync a Missing Manifest or Order

Resolve missing Metrc manifests or stuck outbound orders with a simple manual Metrc sync process in GrowFlow Wholesale

You may need to manually sync a Metrc manifest if an outbound order is either stuck in GrowFlow or missing altogether.

This issue often arises when the order was created directly in Metrc or when it isn’t promptly completed in GrowFlow. To prevent these issues in the future, we recommend building your orders directly in GrowFlow and clicking Register Complete on the order right after registering the transfer template in Metrc.

If this issue does arise, it's easy to fix—here’s how:

Confirm the Manifest needs Syncing

1. Run an Inventory Transfer Sync (Admin Users Only)

If you are an admin user, start by attempting to sync the order via the Inventory Transfer sync. If you are not an admin user, skip to step 2.

Go to Admin > Sync, then click on the Inventory Transfer Sync category. Let the page sit while the sync process runs. When the sync is complete, check the order.

  • If the manifest is synced and the order stage is updated, you’re all set!

  • If the order did not update after running the Inventory Transfer sync, proceed to step 2.

2. If the Inventory Transfer sync didn’t update the order, go to Orders > Sales History. Adjust the date range filter if necessary to cover the date the order was transferred.

Enter the full Metrc manifest ID into the search bar.

Note: You may need to log in to Metrc to copy the Metrc manifest ID. Be sure to paste the full Metrc manifest ID, this includes the leading zeros.

  • If the search returns an order, the manifest is linked to that order. Delete any duplicate order that isn’t synced to the manifest.

  • If no results are found, proceed to the next section.

Sync a Metrc Manifest

Proceed with caution:

  • For this manual sync to work, the Metrc manifest ID must not currently exist or have ever existed in your account. If the manifest was voided in GrowFlow but not in Metrc, you need to void the transfer in Metrc, then re-manifest in GrowFlow and re-register the transfer in Metrc.

  • Double-check the Metrc manifest ID before pasting it into GrowFlow. Syncing the wrong ID can completely overwrite the order.

1. Go to Orders > Sales History

2. Check the Sync Metrc Manifest box to open the form

3. Enter the Metrc manifest ID

Note: You may need to log in to Metrc to copy the Metrc manifest ID. Be sure to paste the full Metrc manifest ID into this field, this includes the leading zeros.

4. If the order exists in GrowFlow, enter the order number. If the order does not exist in GrowFlow, skip this step.

5. Click Sync

Notes:

  • Order Exists in GrowFlow:
    If the GrowFlow order number is provided, the manifest will sync to the existing order, and the order stage will update accordingly.

  • Order Existed in Metrc Only:
    If no GrowFlow order number is entered, a new order will be automatically created using the next PO# in sequence. The manifest will be synced to this newly created order, and the order stage will update accordingly.

6. Once the sync is complete, the order stage will likely update to Completed. You can verify this by locating the order on Sales History to confirm the Metrc manifest and the order stage synced correctly.
