Understanding the Customer-Facing Display Feature in GrowFlow Retail Windows App

Overview

The GrowFlow Retail Windows App now supports a dual-display setup, allowing you to use a second monitor as a customer-facing display. This feature enhances the customer experience by providing real-time visibility into their order, including item prices and applied discounts.

What Customers See

When a customer-facing display is set up, customers can see:

  • Items Added to the Order: Every item scanned or added by the budtender appears on the screen.

  • Prices: The price of each item is shown as it is added to the order.

  • Discount Amounts: Any discounts applied are visible, showing the total discount amount applied to the order.

What Customers Don’t See

To ensure privacy and a seamless transaction process, certain information is not displayed to customers:

  • Discount Screen: The screen where the budtender views and applies available discounts is not visible to customers.

  • Specific Discount Details: While customers see the total discount amount, they do not see the specific details or names of the discounts applied.

  • Error Messages: Any error messages that the budtender receives, such as notifications when an item is sold below cost, are not shown on the customer-facing display.

Digital Signage

When not processing an order, the secondary screen can display digital signage. This feature lets you engage your customers with promotional content or store information.

Requirements and Recommendations:

  • Number of Images: You need to upload at least one (1) image and can upload up to five (5) images.

  • Image Dimensions: The recommended image dimensions are 1920 x 1080 pixels for optimal display quality.

  • Rotation Interval: Images will rotate at a chosen interval. Options include every 5, 10, 15, or 20 seconds.

By utilizing the customer-facing display and digital signage, you can provide a more transparent and engaging shopping experience for your customers while keeping essential operational details private and secure.
