Retail: Require Customer Phone Numbers

Enable the option to require customer phone numbers

GrowFlow Retail includes an optional feature that requires a phone number to be entered when creating a customer profile. A secondary option extends this requirement to existing customers during check‑in if their profile does not already include a phone number.

How do you enable it?

1. Navigate to Settings.

2. Select General.

3. Scroll down to the Customer Management subsection.

4. To require a phone number for customer profiles, enable the Require Phone Number toggle.

5. When the Require Phone Number toggle is enabled, the Enable Check-in Prompt for Phone Number setting is revealed. Enable this toggle to require a phone number to be entered at check-in for existing customers who do not have a phone number in the system.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Settings.


How do you use it?

When Require Phone Number is enabled, the phone number field on the Customer form becomes mandatory and is marked with a red asterisk. A customer profile cannot be saved until a valid phone number is entered.

When Enable Check‑in Prompt for Phone Number is turned on, a prompt will appear during customer check‑in asking for a phone number if one is not already saved in the customer’s profile.
