Enable the option to require customer phone numbers

GrowFlow Retail has an optional feature that allows you to require that a phone number be entered for a customer profile. There is a secondary optional feature that requires the phone number to be entered for an existing customer when they are “checked in” (if that customer does not have a phone number in their profile).

How do you enable it?

  • Navigate to Settings.

  • Select General.

  • Scroll down to the Customer Management subsection.

  • To require a phone number for customer profiles, enable the Require Phone Number toggle.

  • When the Require Phone Number toggle is enabled, the Enable Check-in Prompt for Phone Number setting is revealed. Enable this toggle to require a phone number to be entered at check-in for existing customers who do not have a phone number in the system.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Settings.

How do you use it?

When Require Phone Number is enabled, the phone number field on the Customer form will be required, with a red asterisk next to it. The customer profile can not be saved without a phone number.

When Enable Check-in Prompt for Phone Number is enabled, and a customer is checked in, a prompt to enter the phone number will be displayed.
