Note: Effective December 27, 2023, in the following states, Metrc initiated the procedure to automatically finish active packages with zero quantity that haven't received any updates within the past 30 days.
Alaska, Colorado, DC, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, and West Virginia.
Finish Out-of-Stock Packages
Once a package's remaining quantity reaches zero through repackaging, adjustments, sales, etc., Metrc requires the package to be marked as Finished to be removed from your list of active packages.
1. From the Inventory Overview, change the view to Out of Stock
2. Locate and select the package(s) to Finish
3. Click the Other button, then click Finish
4. Review the selected packages for finishing. Deselect any packages if necessary. Once confirmed, finish by clicking Confirm.
5. You will be redirected to the Finished view on the Inventory Overview. Here, the just-finished package(s) will be displayed along with a success message.
Note: The Inventory Status ⊘ indicates the package has been Finished.
Finish Packages while Packaging
When packaging or re-packaging inventory, if the remaining quantity of a package is utilized, it can be finished directly within the Package tool.
1. While using the Package tool on the Inventory Overview, check the Finish Package(s) box to automatically mark any packages that contribute their remaining quantity to the new package as finished
2. Click Preview Convert
3. While confirming the packaging details, ensure this box remains checked. Alternatively, uncheck the box if necessary.
4. After completing the packaging process, you'll be redirected to the Inventory Overview to review the newly packaged inventory and finished packages, accompanied by success messages confirming these details
Finish Packages while Adjusting
Packages can be automatically finished when adjusting the remaining quantity to zero using the Audit tool.
1. From the Inventory Overview, click Audit to select and adjust packages or pre-select the packages to adjust, then click Audit
2. After selecting the packages to adjust and entering the adjustment details, such as the zero quantity, reason, and explanation, ensure the Finish Package(s) box is checked before clicking Preview Adjustments
3. After submitting the adjustments, you will be redirected to the Inventory Overview to review the adjusted and finished packages, accompanied by success messages confirming these details.
Auto-Finish Settings
To set the Finish Package(s) box as checked by default in both the Package and Audit tools:
1. Hover over your account name in the top-right corner, then click Account Settings from the drop-down
2. Scroll down to check the Finish Package(s) box
3. Click Update GrowFlow Account to save the setting
Notes:
If this setting is disabled, the Finish Package(s) box will remain unchecked by default.
This setting is not user-specific. Once enabled or disabled, all users of the account will be impacted.
Unfinish Packages
Finished packages can be unfinished, allowing for updates to be made to the package.
1. From the Inventory Overview, change the view to Finished
2. Locate and select the package(s) to Unfinish
3. Click the Other button, then click Unfinish
4. Review the selected packages for unfinishing. Deselect any packages if necessary. Once confirmed, complete this process by clicking Confirm.
5. You will be redirected to the Out of Stock view on the Inventory Overview. Here, the just-unfinished package(s) will be displayed along with a success message.
