Retail: OMMA Verify Feature

Learn how GrowFlow is working behind the scenes to validate medical card information in Oklahoma

Written by Ryker Daniel

GrowFlow can now verify MMJ cards for all customers in your account. Whether the customer is brand new or existing, the verification feature will be able to verify the entered information with OMMA Verify to ensure the medical license number and expiration date are correct, and the card is valid.

When entering a patient's OMMA medical license number, GrowFlow Retail will now:

  • Verify the license number is in the correct format

  • Call the OMMA Verify API to confirm the license number and license expiration date are valid

This new feature eliminates the need to validate patient numbers with the state database manually, saving you time at the register.

If an invalid license number of the correct format is entered, the system will return No Match and a red circle will be displayed to the right of the Medical License Number.

If a card has expired, the system displays a yellow exclamation point icon next to the medical license number. The expiration date is also shown along with an invalid license alert.

GrowFlow allows you to save a customer profile even if the license number is invalid or expired. The profile will display that the license has expired or is invalid. When entering a medical license number while creating a customer profile, the system will show a red dot icon with a message such as No Match Found, Invalid License Number, or Expired.
