This article outlines POS system hardware and peripherals for use with the GrowFlow Retail platform — label printers, receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and scales.

Here are the hardware peripherals that we specifically recommend for use with GrowFlow Retail. The majority of these peripherals have been tested by our team and we have confirmed their usability with the platform.

* NOTE: While all variants of the TSP100/TSP650 will work with our systems, for ease of setup, we recommend the TSP143-IV and TSP143-IVUE specifically.

ID scanners are specifically designed to capture images of an ID and automatically enter information into GrowFlow via OCR. ID scanners are specific to IDs, not product barcodes or tags.

Barcode scanners are used to scan product labels/tags. They can also be used to scan ID barcodes to enter customer information into GrowFlow.

† NOTE: Most 2D barcode scanners will work when paired in HID mode. For iPad and Android terminals, ensure your scanner can connect to your device via Bluetooth.

‡ NOTE: Most cash drawers will work as long as they are able to interface with the Star printer via the DK port.

All scales require appropriate cables and/or connection modules that are SOLD SEPARATELY from the scale itself.

§ NOTE: Please ensure any scale purchase complies with your state's requirements for balancing and certification. When using a scale with an iOS device, you will need to manually enter the info into the weight field.
