How to Filter the Transactions Report
The Transactions Report can be filtered by Date, Order Type, Register, Amount, Payment Type or Tender, Gross Profit, and Net Amount. To display these fields, enable the corresponding columns in the column selection tool. Once selected, they will appear in the drop‑down or quick filter options. If you’re trying to locate a specific transaction or analyze activity patterns, the filter tools make it quick and easy to narrow down the data and gain insights.
Amount
Filters transactions by the total dollar amount of the transaction, including taxes and discounts.
Created By
Filters based on which employee processed the transaction. Helpful for reviewing team member activity for accountability or coaching, spotting potential training opportunities or misuse, or identifying who handled a specific sale, return, or money drop.
Date
Filters transactions based on when they occurred. Helpful for finding transactions from a specific shift, day, or week, and when investigating an issue reported at a certain time.
Gross Profit
Filters by the gross profit on the transaction. Helpful for spotting transactions with zero or negative profit (which may indicate discounts, mispricing, or returns).
Net Amount
Filters by the total paid or refunded before taxes.
Register
Filters transactions by the specific register (e.g., Register 1, Register 2).
Tender
Filters based on the payment method used (e.g., cash, other).
Type
This filter lets you choose which types of transactions to view, such as Sales, Returns, or Cash Drops. It’s especially useful for separating sales from refunds to gain clearer insight, tracking return activity to spot potential issues, and reviewing non‑sale cash movements like drawer drops or payouts.
To search for transactions within a specific time frame, select the filter icon and apply Date Is After or Date Is Before filters. This lets you set a start date or an end date, so you can narrow the report to the exact period you need. You can also use the filter icon to apply multiple filters at the same time, making it easy to refine the report by different criteria and quickly locate the transactions you’re looking for.
