How to view Shift Reports and how to close and edit a shift

Shift Reports display totals for closed shifts on the selected dates. These totals include details such as who opened and closed the register, any closing discrepancies, incoming and outgoing drops, the starting balance, and end‑of‑shift drop amounts.

In this article, we’ll walk you through how to view a shift report, how to close your own shift or close a shift for another budtender who may have forgotten, and how to edit shift starting and ending amounts if changes are needed or if a sales discrepancy has been corrected.

How to View a Shift Report

1. Click the Reports icon on the left of the page.

2. Select Shifts.

3. Select the shift you want to review.

4. On the right, a window will open showing you the Shift Details and Drawer Info breakdown.


How to Close a Shift

This can be useful for closing a shift for an employee who left with a shift still open.

1. Click the Reports icon on the left of the page.

2. Select Shifts.

3. Select the shift you need to close.

4. In the top right, click the Close Shift button.

5. Enter the Total Deposit Amount for the shift.

6. Enter the amount, if any, that is left in the drawer.

7. Leave any comments you need. This can be good for understanding a discrepancy when looking back at your records.

8. After entering the deposit amount, the amount left, and any comments in the required fields, click End Drawer to complete the process.


How to Edit a Shift Starting Amounts and Ending Amounts

1. Click the Reports icon on the left of the page.

2. Select Shifts.

3. Select the Shift you want to Edit.

4. On the right, select Edit in the top right.

5. You will have the option to edit the Start Shift Amount and the End Shift Amount. Only Org Admins and Admin users have permission to edit shift amounts.
