Retail: Inventory Snapshot Report

Learn how to run an Inventory Snapshot report

Written by Ryker Daniel

Use the Inventory Snapshot report to quickly see your inventory's Est. Retail values and Cost of Goods (COGs) for any past date. This will not work for the current date, so you will need to set a custom date or use the Yesterday option.

Run the Inventory Snapshot Report

1. Click the Reports icon on the left of the page.

2. Select Inventory Snapshot.

3. Select Custom and enter the date you need to look up.

4. Click the Generate Report button.

Data Points in the Inventory Snapshot Report

The Inventory Snapshot Report contains the following data points.

  • Product - The name of the product in GrowFlow

  • Category - the GrowFlow product category that the product is assigned to

  • Contains MJ - Indicates that the product category is designated as containing MJ

  • Current Qty - the current quantity available at the end of the day the report is run for

  • Unit Weight - the unit weight entered in the product profile

  • Net Weight - the net weight entered in the product profile

  • Cost Per Item - the cost of a single unit or gram

  • COG (Qty*CPI) - the total cost of the product currently in stock, calculated by multiplying the cost per item by the current quantity

  • Sales Price - the sale price entered in the product profile

  • Est. Retail Value - the total potential retail value of the product, calculated by multiplying the sales price by the current quantity

You can download the report as a CSV file and open it with Excel or other spreadsheet software. To download, click the export button in the top‑right corner of the screen. If you want to view totals for cost of goods or retail value, export the report and sum the COG (Qty × CPI) or Est. Retail Value columns. Keep in mind that the export button is only available to Org Admins, Admins, and budtenders with custom permissions that include Enable Export Functionality access.
