If you're Step #4 looks something like the picture above, this article will help you straighten it out. Just download the issues from the step and open the file to begin.

It will look something like this...

The last column, "Warning", will say what's wrong, and sometimes there will be an additional suggestion as to how to fix it in another relevant column.

See one of these warnings? Click on the link to jump to that section in this article:

... And if you can't find what you're looking for here, reach out to us using the chat bubble on the bottom right of the Help Center or in your GrowFlow account. We're here to help!

⚠️ Un-supported Metrc Category

Problem:

A product (or product template) has a GrowFlow category with a "traceability type" field set to something that is no longer referenced

The Fix:

👉 If the error is on a Product you no longer carry, you can delete it from your Product Catalog and be done with it!

But if you do carry the product still, the fastest way to fix is to create a Product Template (because you only need one for all your strains and sizes). Follow the steps below:

Go to your Product Catalog

  1. Go to your Admin>Products page and go to the Templates tab

  2. Create a new product by clicking +Add New Templates

  3. Fill in the info needed to create the new product template

    1. If you don't see a Category that matches yours exactly, you can always create a new category from here by clicking Create New Category. GrowFlow now has checks in place to make sure it's valid.

  4. Click Create Product Template!

  5. Locate your old product causing the problem and select it using the line-item checkbox on the right, and then click Delete to remove the product.

Next, go to your Inventory (if you have active inventory in stock of this stuff)

  1. Locate any inventory with your old product on the inventory page, remember you can choose all strains and sizes if you just created a Product Template

  2. Check all the items from the table to select it then click Modify

  3. Go to the Product option

  4. Start typing to find your new product template from the list

  5. Select your newly created product template and click Modify Inventory.

⚠️ Strain required on a product

Problem:

At some point, this was was optional, but now they're making us do it...

The Fix:

  1. Go to your Admin>Products>Product Catalog and click on the Packaged or Bulk tab depending on if the traceability type is packaged or bulk.

  2. Locate the product that has no strain shown under the Strain column, then select it using the line-item checkbox on the right, and either click Delete if you are not using this product, or click Edit to set a strain.

  3. Select a Strain from the dropdown and click Save

⚠️ Product requires package size but does not have one set
