The Adjust Tool

Use the Adjust Tool to adjust the weight of a singular item or, if applicable, to return the weight to its Parent.

Part 1: Adjusting a Singular Inventory Item

1. On the Inventory Overview, use the filters or search bar to locate the inventory item

2. Click Edit > Adjust

  • Tips! In the Adjust Inventory window, the item is auto-selected. A Parent Item will only populate below the Child Item if the ID was created from a Parent within your account. See Part 2 to return the Child Item's quantity to the Parent.

3. Select a reason for the adjustment from the drop-down

4. Enter an explanation

  • Note: Click "Save" to save the explanation for future use.

5. Enter the New Quantity

  • Note: In this example, I am adjusting 20 units down. Adjusting up or down the applicable amount is available at your discretion.

6. Click "Confirm" to finish the adjustment

7. You will be redirected to the Inventory Overview to receive a success message and to view the inventory with the adjusted quantity

Part 2: Returning the Child Item's Quantity to the Parent

When returning the Child Item's quantity to the Parent Item, the steps in the Adjust Inventory window can be done a bit differently.

1. Select both the Child and the Parent line items

2. Enter the New Quantity of the Child

  • Note: Returning the full or partial quantity of the Child is available at your discretion

3. The explanation for the adjustment will auto-populate when the steps are taken in this order

  • Example: It will read similarly to "Adjust From Child 8919, To Parent 7226 for a zero-sum gain".

4. Select a reason for the adjustment from the drop-down

5. Click "Confirm" to finish the adjustment

The Audit Tool

Use the Audit Tool to adjust the weight of multiple inventory items at once.

1. From the Inventory Overview, we have a few options to begin using the Audit tool.

  • Option 1: Head to the Inventory Overview and simply click "Audit" to open the tool with a full list of your active inventory.

  • Option 2: Use the filters or the search bar to locate and select the inventory items in need of adjusting, then click "Audit" to open the tool with a list of only the selected items.

2. Select a reason for the adjustments from the drop-down

3. Enter an explanation

4. Locate the inventory in need of adjustment and enter the New Qty per item. Entering a new quantity will auto-select the line item.

  • Note: Adjusting up or down the applicable amounts is available at your discretion.

  • Note: The new quantity fields auto-populate as zero in the Audit tool. If you are adjusting the items to zero you can skip this step and select each item you are adjusting.

5. When all new quantities are entered and the items are selected, click "Preview Adjustments"

6. Review the adjustments made, then click "Submit Adjustments" when you are ready to complete the audits

  • Option to edit the quantities or items selected from this view or click "Back to Adjust" if more items should be added to the audit.

7. You will be redirected to the Inventory Overview to receive a success message and to view the item's new quantities.
