The Inventory on Hand report in Insights shows what products you currently have in stock. You can view an individual store's inventory, or if you are working in a multi-store organization, you can view inventory levels across more than one store. The report shows inventory by product, by package, and by store. This article will walk you through each tab and what they reveal about your current inventory.
Inventory Summary Tiles
Here, you'll see four key metrics:
Category Count – The number of unique product categories currently in inventory (e.g., Edibles, Flower, Pre-Rolls).
Product Count – The total number of individual products you have on hand.
Package Count – The total number of distinct packages that make up your inventory.
Inventory Cost – The total cost value of your current inventory (based on the cost per unit entered in package details multiplied by quantity on hand).
Product List
This table breaks down inventory by product and includes the following columns:
Category – The product category each item is assigned to (e.g., Bulk Flower, Shake/Trim).
Brand – The brand name associated with the product.
Product – The specific product name.
Quantity On Hand – How much of the product you currently have in stock.
Cost – The total cost of the product currently on hand (based on the cost entered in package details).
Avg. Item Cost – The average cost per unit for that product.
Packages Listing
While the Product List shows product-level data, the Packages Listing table shows details about each individual package that makes up your inventory.
useby_expires_on – Indicates if a product has a use-by or expiration date. If this is not applicable, it will show as “N/A.”
Product – The name of the product associated with the package.
Package ID – The unique identifier used for each package.
Store Name – Indicates which store location currently holds the package.
Quantity On Hand – The exact quantity remaining in that specific package.
By Store
This tab shows how inventory is allocated across multiple stores within your organization. This is useful for determining which stores are over or understocked with a given product.
Product Tag
The Product Tag table shows inventory broken down by tag. If a product has no tag applied, it will be included in the "N/A" column.
Brands
The Brands table shows the brands contributing most to your current inventory cost.
Filters
You can use filters at the top to narrow down results by category, brand, or other product attributes. By default, the Inventory on hand report will be filtered to show only active packages in sellable storage locations. To change these filters, select the More Filters button at the top of the page. To remove the filters, select the Clear All button.
