As of January 2025, we've begun rolling out the connection to the Metrc v2 API in GrowFlow. This exciting update unlocks more API endpoints, allowing us to enhance GrowFlow and streamline your workflows. This means less time switching between GrowFlow and Metrc, and fewer manual data transfers!
Here's a breakdown of the new features and what's coming soon:
What's New
Metrc Tags
Say goodbye to manual tag imports! Metrc tags now sync automatically. You can update your tags by clicking the Sync Tags button in the Tags tools. This performs the Import Active Tags sync. Admin users can also run this sync via Admin > Syncs by clicking the Import Active Tags category. The manual tag upload feature has been removed as it's no longer necessary.
Metrc-Connected Brands
Enhanced brand management:
Creating, editing, and deleting brands directly in GrowFlow will automatically sync to Metrc.
Easily identify Metrc-connected brands via a checkmark in the Metrc-Connected column.
To connect existing GrowFlow brands to Metrc, you'll need to delete and recreate them.
Undo Harvest Waste
You can now undo harvest waste entries made during harvest weight input or via the Package Harvest Batch screen (for open harvests). These entries are logged as Harvest Waste in Grow > Waste Log.
Note: Only harvest waste created after your account was connected to the Metrc v2 API can be undone. Due to Metrc's ID handling, it's not possible to undo pre-v2 waste entries. The unique ID returned by Metrc for v2-created waste is required for the undo function.

Coming Soon
We're actively developing even more enhancements! We'll keep you updated as these features are released. Stay tuned! Here's a sneak peek:
Brands
Automatic syncing of brands created in Metrc to GrowFlow.
Harvest Waste Types
Select specific harvest waste types during harvest.
Lab Transfers
Select Lab Test types when creating QA samples in GrowFlow, eliminating the need to select them in Metrc when registering the transfer.
Oklahoma users: While you'll still use the workaround for lab transfers for now, we'll soon be introducing Reserve Sample functionality for lab transfers in GrowFlow. This will enable you to manage lab transfers from start to finish within GrowFlow, eliminating the need to work in Metrc for this process. Stay tuned for updates!
Registering Transfers
For states requiring invoice numbers and gross weights for Metrc transfer registrations, we will soon be able to sync gross weights and the GrowFlow invoice number, streamlining the template registration process.
COAs
Automatic syncing of COA PDFs with your QA results from Metrc.
Modify Plant Strains
Ability to modify plant strain names directly in GrowFlow.
