With Oklahoma moving to the Metrc traceability system, it is a requirement that each Product Category is assigned to a Metrc Type. All existing Product Categories that contain MJ must be edited to select a Metrc Type, and it is a requirement for all new Product Categories.
This process must be completed AFTER you enable the Metrc API in your account.
If you have questions about which Metrc Type should be assigned to a Product Category, please contact OMMA or Metrc.
Adding Metrc Type to Product Categories
To select a Metrc Type for a Product Category, follow these steps:
Navigate to Inventory.
Navigate to Product Categories.
To add a new Product Category, click the green "+" icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
To edit an existing Product Category, select it and click the Edit icon (the pencil) in the top-right corner of the page.
Click on the Metrc Type dropdown to select the appropriate Metrc Type for that category.
When finished, press Save and Close.
IMPORTANT: If you are preparing for Metrc Activation, complete these steps for all Product Categories that contain MJ. If you have multiple stores, this must be repeated for all stores.
