In this article, we’ll take a look at the steps a GrowFlow user will need to take to complete an inbound or outbound transfer while connected to the Metrc traceability system. Due to the restrictions, Metrc places on its integration, there are separate processes for making these transfers. Please note that only whole packages can be transferred using the transfer wizard. If you need to split a package for distribution, you will first need to perform a conversion on it, to divide it up.

Inbound Transfers

1. Navigate to the “Inventory Tab”

2. Click “Transfers”

3. Click “Sync” at the top right of the page to sync all active transfers from Metrc.

4. Once transfers have been synced, click on the transfer you are ingesting to view its active packages in the details pane to the right.

5. From the details tab, click “Details” at the top right to view the declaration page.

6. On the declaration page you will assign packages to products in GrowFlow. Ensure that all packages are assigned to their respective products, that the count matches your real-world stock, and that the cost of goods is filled out.

7. Once all fields are filled, click “Save and Activate” at the bottom of the declaration page.

**Note** Once a transfer has been accepted, and activated in GrowFlow it cannot be modified. Ensure all information is correct before clicking “Save and Activate.”

Outbound Transfers

Before creating a transfer, ensure that all packages are sitting at the quantities that you would like transferred. Only whole packages can be transferred out of a location. You can split a package using the Conversion tool. Click “Here” to view the conversion workflow.

In Metrc

As Metrc does not allow third-party integrations to create manifests, you will first need to create the outbound transfer in Metrc. This will allow you to designate transporter information and set your destination. Once that transfer has been created and sent to the appropriate license, continue to the “In GrowFlow” workflow.

In GrowFlow

1. Navigate to the “Inventory Tab”

2. Click “Transfers”

3. Click “Sync” at the top right of the page. This will sync your packages with Metrc, and place all appropriate packages in active transfers in a hold state to prevent budtenders from selling that stock.

4. Once the destination facility receives the product, and accepts the manifest in Metrc, the transfer status will update from “Pending” to “Accepted.” This will update all held packages in GrowFlow from a pending state, to finished to show the product has left your facility.
